HTML/DOM 5 Demo Apps
HTML 5 is the next major revision of HTML ("hypertext markup language").
HTML 5 was initially said to become a game-changer in Web application development, making obsolete such plug-in-based rich Internet application (RIA) technologies as Adobe Flash, Microsoft Silverlight, and Sun JavaFX.
Based on my analysis and discussions with key players in the TV industry, this solution is not mature enough to really compete with RIA integrated development and operating frameworks such as Flash or JavaFX, at least not in the TV space.
You will say I'm not objective as I'm the PM of the JavaFX for TV product... and I will answer you that you could be right, but this is also what I hear from most of the players in my industry.

BTW - this 9elements.com company seems to have terrific ideas in terms of UE/UI design.
